| Course Description : |
This course is a certification course in CPR – Adult/Child with AED (automated external defibrillator) PLUS Infant CPR and First Aid. The course will cover how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, identify and care for life-threatening bleeding, sudden illness and injuries until professional help arrives. The course will be conducted through a combination of lecture, video, and instructor demonstration. Hands-on practice by students on mannequins (breathing barriers will be used) is an essential element to the successful completion of this course. Certification will be issued (one-year certification for CPR/AED and a three-year certification for First Aid) upon successful completion of the course. Textbook and training materials are included. |
