- Simply put in your zipcode and search for the course you are interested in.
- Put in the date range you are interested in.
- You will be redirected to a map with pushpins. Click on the pushpin in the Pitman area.
- Choose the course. You will need to sign in or register for a new account. A credit card is required to sign up to our secure online.

Lifeguarding Training

If you’re 15 or older and looking for a great summer job or challenging career that’s in demand, the Red Cross Lifeguarding program is the place to start.
Through videos, group discussion and hands-on practice, you’ll learn patron rescue and surveillance skills, first aid and CPR/AED. Courses are available with a focus on a variety of environments, including pools, waterfronts, waterparks and shallow water attractions.
Prerequisites: Must be at least 15 years old and pass certain swimming requirements Course length: 30 – 37 hours; 2 year CPR/AED certification and 3 year Lifeguarding certification.

First Aid/CPR/AED
Red Cross First Aid, CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) and AED (automatic external defibrillator) training meets the needs of workplace responders, schools, professional responders and healthcare providers, as well as the general public. We offer both certified and non-certified training options. Our first aid, CPR and AED training includes:
Training meets OSHA Guidelines for First Aid Programs and combines lecture, interactive video demonstrations featuring emergency scenarios that are likely to occur in a workplace environment and hands-on training to teach participants lifesaving skills.
- First aid: Participants learn first aid skills for treating a variety of injuries, such as burns, wounds, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold emergencies. Participants also learn to manage sudden illnesses, stroke, seizure, bites and poisoning
- CPR - Adult: Participants learn how to perform CPR and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults
- CPR - Child and Infant: Participants learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies in infants and children under 12
- AED - Participants learn how to use automatic external defibrillators
Length of class will vary dependent on selection of topics.

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
Teaches a variety of skills including one- and two-rescuer CPR, use of resuscitation masks and bag-valve masks for ventilating victims, and how to respond in special rescue situations such as drowning. Participants learn the importance of AEDs, and how to use an AED properly. First Aid/CPR/AED for Schools/Community
Red Cross offers courses covering a variety of combinations of first aid and CPR/AED for adults, children and infants. This allows you to choose a course that meets your needs. Recertification courses available.

First AID/CPR/AED/Bloodborne Pathogens Instructor
This training course is designed for workers at risk for on-the-job exposure to blood or other body fluids that could cause infection.
Course length: 2 hours; 1 year certification; classroom and online learning options available

Infant and Child CPR
Designed for childcare providers, teachers, parents and others who care for children, this course teaches how to recognize and care for breathing and cardiac emergencies and how to use the EMS system effectively. Participants take home a refresher skills card as well as information about preventing injuries. This course applies to infants and children up to 8 years. Infant CPR is also available separately as a 3 1/2 hour course that applies to infants up to 12 months; Child CPR (4 hours) is available separately and applies to children age 1 to 8 years.

Pet First Aid Courses
Pet First Aid is a course designed for animal lovers and will provide participants the information and skills to protect both owners and pets from injury, perform rescue breathing and explain what to do when your pet is choking. You will learn how to stop bleeding, splint broken bones and treat your pet for shock.
The course material also covers preventing and handling poisoning emergencies and how to deal with a sudden illness and more.
